The Lumbar Wrap provides warm or cold muscle therapy wherever you need it and ties comfortably around the waist, leg or over the shoulder. It comes with two inserts: a gel pack and rice and flaxseed insert.
Because all microwaves have different power settings, do not leave unattended. Do not heat on a stovetop, toaster oven or conventional oven. Do not overheat. Heat in a clean microwave for 1 minute on medium setting. If more heat is desired, shake gently and refold in opposite direction to avoid scorching; and reheat at 30-second intervals only. Test temperature before use.
Cooling instructions for the gel pack: Refrigerate for 60 minutes for a cool chill. For more intense cooling, keep it in the freezer for no longer than 24 hours. Store the gel pack in the refrigerator, not the freezer. Do not heat the gel insert. It is intended to be cooled only.
Moist Heat: Wrap should feel damp when heated; this is beneficial moist heat. Moist heat penetrates muscles more deeply than dry heat and increases circulation in the area. For more moisture and deeper penetration, remove outer cover, then mist the insert with water and place it in the microwave following the Heating Instructions, above.
Remove the grain-filled insert; wash the outer cover only. Machine-wash the cover in cold water on gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Do not wash the insert. Spot-clean insert with a damp cloth as needed.
