Use the Lavender Wrap on the upper back, neck and shoulders. The heat-retaining rice, flaxseed and aromatic lavender inside this soft wrap help warm and relax tense muscles. Long used for its therapeutic effects, lavender is known to encourage relaxation and relieve headaches.
Because all microwaves have different power settings, do not leave unattended. Do not heat on a stovetop, toaster oven or conventional oven. Do not overheat. Heat in a clean microwave for 1 minute on medium setting. If more heat is desired, shake gently and refold in opposite direction to avoid scorching; and reheat at 30-second intervals only. Test temperature before use.
Moist Heat: Wrap should feel damp when heated; this is beneficial moist heat. Moist heat penetrates muscles more deeply than dry heat and increases circulation in the area. For more moisture and deeper penetration, remove outer cover, then mist the insert with water and place it in the microwave following the heating instructions, above.
Cooling: A cold wrap helps reduce pain and swelling. Place the entire wrap in a plastic bag then into a freezer for one to two hours before using.
Remove the grain-filled insert; wash the outer cover only. Machine-wash the cover in cold water on gentle cycle. Hang to dry. Do not wash the insert. Spot-clean insert with a damp cloth as needed.
