Before the widespread use of herbicides, most lawns contained white clover. As it grows, clover ensures healthy turf by adding nitrogen to the soil and choking out weeds. This Dutch white clover is well suited to lawns as it is a low-growing variety and has good drought resistance.

Why have weeds!

Comments about : White Clover Seed, 1/2 Lb.:
All lawns were not chemically sprayed perfectly green expanses in the "old days". I went all organic lawn about 6 years ago. While my lawn initially looked not so great, the more I pulled weeds and over seeded with White Dutch Clover Seed from Garden Supply the better my lawn looked! It adds lots of nitrogen to the soil and greens it up! Today it is doing well and I just speedily received my 4 bags for fall spreading. I am so impressed and my grandchildren can play all day in safety. And my pets too!

I haven't actually planted these yet since they're springtime seeds, but I do feel like I got a good deal for my money.

This clover seed makes a dense mat of living mulch in your garden, which will not only croud out weeds but also fix nitrogen in your soil. It is easy to grow. Pay attention to germination rates, so your seedlings have a head start. Then, sit back and enjoy not having to weed as much.

I purchased only a small amt to test my soil's response to the white clover. The clover "took" to my back yard space quickly and it looks terrific interspersed among the grasses.I will be buying much more.
About Me Avid Gardener
Used the clover seed on our 'barren' lawn and in our field. The germination rate was excellent. We want a lawn but nothing too groomed. The clover attracts bees and birds and butterflies.

My sister had me order your clover seed to fill in bare spots in our lawns. She beat me to it, and now has lush green clover growing. Can't wait to get out and spread mine.

To supplement grass seed.
nitrogen fixer/natural weed reduction
from Denver, CO
I used this to overseed my patchy rental lawn and a weed lot in back of my house. It helped improve the health and appearance of my lawn, established itself quickly, is drought tolerant and attracts and provides food for pollinators. It definitely seemed to outcompete other problem weeds in my lawn as well. I am hoping for similar outcomes in a back lot that I don't water and is full of weeds.
