Timer and soil moisture sensor take the worry out of watering. The easy-to-program irrigation timer has an LCD display and may be set for up to four, four-hour watering cycles per day. Set it to water daily, every other day, or every three days. An Eco Function pauses the flow to allow water to soak in. Rain delay feature suspends set program for up to 6 days. Manual on/off. Requires 2 AA batteries, not included. The soil moisture sensor helps provide customized watering for your plants. Simply set the control knob to one of five levels to accommodate your plants' particular moisture requirements. Prevents overwatering when soil is wet.

I can't rate this. Poor programming instructions

Comments about : WaterEase Timer and Moisture Sensor:
I wish I could rate this. The directions aren't clear, and I've taken my time trying to do this. I got this so I could program 4 beds with 4 different hose from one water tap. Yes there are 4 different programs, from one exiting hose. How can one hose water the beds that have 4 different hoses. That's my issue.I have the feeling this timer is not my answer to my sprinkling issue. It's a great idea for multiple gardens, not sure what to do now.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Very nice watering timer, but...a question
from somerville, MA
I use this with my emitter hose in the vegetable garden. I was excited about the moisture detecter to save watering. I have the timer set for every three days. Originally, I had the moisture detecter attached to it, but wasn't sure how it worked in conjunction with the timer. No one was able to help me with this question, so I unplugged the moisture detecter. I think the logical way for it to work is when the timer is set to water and there is plenty of moisture, the water will not come on. AND, it plays no role when the timer is not on a time to water, but I don't know.If anyone knows, please let me know.

No worries about watering my raised bed when I am out of town.
Simplified my life, have a lovely garden
I bought this to water my garden. I bought the water sensor with it. I set it and didn't have to worry about proper garden watering. Once after heavy rains it stopped watering for several days and I almost lost some crops. Overall it has worked very well and has made caring for the garden much simpler. I like the pause feature to let water soak in, I think it's very green and saves a few minutes of watering time.

liked it so much i bought another one.

Liked it so much I now have two. However I work out of town for weeks to months at a time and when batteries get low units don't work. You might look at putting units on a solar panel.
