Now you won't need to remember to turn off the spigot each time you water with a soaker hose or sprinkler. Simply set this manual Water Timer and Flow Meter to apply water for a specific amount of time, from one minute to 240 minutes. Or, set it to apply a specific amount of water, from one gallon to 1400 gallons. Turn the water on, and when the desired amount of water has been applied, the meter will automatically turn off the water. Now you'll know just how much water you've applied — which is especially handy when you pay for water by the gallon or when watering restrictions are in place.

Not What I Expected
from Malden, MA
Comments about : Water Timer and Flow Meter:
It is not the kind of timer I expected. I wanted an automatic timer. This is more of a 'kitchen timer' for your soaker hose.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

The unit never turns the water off, so it is a complete waste.

Not worth your money
from Albany NY
It worked fine for about 8 weeks and they started to leak at the top. Bad design! The plastic at the top cracked and it is not totally not usable.
Worked ok for a short amount of time, then started leaking a little around the top. Now it leaks horribly around the top and bottom. I have to buy something else it waste more water then it saves and is flooding the area around my deck if I use it. Needs some serious rethinking on its construction.

wasn't a good fit with mister system
worked well with regular sprinkler setup. Won't shut off with low water pressure systems, such as using with drip or mister. If a single sprinkler was set very low would stay on for days....

Does not work with gravity water tanks
By The master gardener
from Fulshear, Texas
Great to water yard with meter set to 100 gallons and it kicks off using 40PSI pressure. Was told should work on 1000 gallon storage tank but meter does not move, because water does not moving fast enough to register. I kept it since I use it on the yard with a sprinkler and on large beds at 40PSI. I also use it when watering by hand with water coming from the house.

This product doesn't work with a soaker system. The setting selected never changes and the valve never shuts off. I had the water running all night and didn't notice the water hadn't shut off until the morning. Wasted gallons of water as well as the electricity to run the pump. Suggest passing on this product

I'm a long time customer of Gardener's Supply, and think many of their products—especially the tomato and bean towers, which I own quite a few of—are some of the best available. So when I saw the new line of automated drip irrigation products, I thought my irrigation needs for my very large garden were solved. I purchased multiple Snip-N-Drip systems, plus multiple Water Timer & Flow Meters, so I could create a number of different irrigation zones in my garden. These products are a great idea, but very poorly executed. Only one of the flow meters worked; the other five I purchased would not automatically advance and shut off the water flow as set. Customer Service said they probably did not work because my water pressure must be too low.As for the Snip-N-Drip systems, every single zone I set up developed, within a week or two, major leaks in the soaker hose portions of the zones. Customer Service said the hoses must have failed because my water pressure was too high.Really? On the same water source, one product fails because the pressure is too high, and another because it's too low? How about this alternative explanation: the products are poorly made out of cheap, defective materials.
