The original liner for our Veg Trug Planter lasted about three years before it started shredding. We felt that we definitely got our money's worth. We have now bought two more liners, and are looking forward to several more seasons of great tomatoes.

We absolutely LOVE our Veg Trug. Getting our veggies up off the ground has been a great advantage. Our tomatoes and eggplants are handy for us, and we can keep the VegTrug on the patio. So convenient! We will be purchasing more of these wonderful veggie tracks! Pure Genious!

I have two VegTrugs, one is in its fourth year of use, the other is in its third year. Last fall, I emptied the soil to move the VegTrugs to another location and discovered that the oldest liner was rapidly disintegrating and would not last beyond the fourth year - and the other liner wasn't much better. I purchased two new liners ready to replace them in the late fall. Why are the liners not made out of the same breathable material as the walkway fabric (which has a 10 year life expectancy? The next question is whether I would recommend this to a friend and the answer is: if the friend has a VegTrug, the friend would need the liner. If the friend doesn't have a VegTrug, the friend needs to think about the ongoing costs associated with liners, cover supports and new covers.
