Purrfect raised garden
from Manassas, VA
I put this together in my living room where it looked good until I was ready to plant my parsley seeds and move it to the deck. I left a space in the center for a compact tomato plant. Recent rains have proved good drainage, but I guess it would depend upon the soil used.

About Me Getting Started
I love this planter. It's a great height for me, and looks beautiful on the deck. I've loaded it with herb plants and leafy greens, and have not had one problem or complaint to raise. Gardeners Catalog had the best price, and fast shipping too.

I use it for annuals, and it holds just enough for what I want and need.

It will be perfect!

This is will be perfect. In a space to the side of our driveway, I'll put this bright blue trug in the middle of a Russian Sage plant. I will fill it with Sunpatiens, snapdragons, vebena, calibrochoa, petunias, and maybe Lantana. As the Sage grows upright, grey and purple, this should be a stunning display without taking up a lot of space. I can't wait to plant it, to watch it grow, and to hear what my neighbors have to say. It should be gorgeous and easy to do!

I love this little veg trug. I am a petite woman, and I can easily transport it from my kitchen to my deck. You can start plants inside, and then move the planter outside when the weather warms up. After a summer outside, the color is not so bright. It does leak a little. I will probably put a plastic liner in it for next spring. I used it to grow lovely little carrots this past summer.

I also have two that I have had for a couple of years, they are great and my vegies grow well in them. One I use as an herb garden. They are easy to weed and take care of. Only thing I would like is if the fabric would hold water a little longer
Just what I needed!!

Wanted to move my herbs from my deck planters. The Poppy planter works just great for me. Moved my perennial herbs to pots & now I am growing my annual herbs in the planter. And they are doing great! I love color so it also brightens up my yard. Being in a small space fits this planter perfectly. My only complaint is why does it need to come unassembled? It is folding so it doesn't take a much bigger box than it came in. Would save so much time!!
