The VegTrug Patio Garden Frame & Greenhouse Cover creates a protected microclimate for plants in your VegTrug. You can start planting earlier in spring and extend the growing season later into fall for an even bigger and better harvest. The easy-to-install, 21"-high steel frame installs in minutes with convenient push-fit connectors, and the reinforced polyethylene
greenhouse cover has heavy-duty stitching and zippers. The cover slips snugly over the frame and attaches with strong VELCRO® brand tabs. Zips open for ventilation and easy access to crops.
Note: The following covers are designed specifically for use with the frame from the VegTrug Frame & Greenhouse Cover set.
Once the weather warms up, you can replace the greenhouse cover with the Vegtrug Insect Cover, sold separately. The polyethylene micro-mesh cover protects plants from insects, birds, harsh winds and hungry deer. To install, simply remove the greenhouse cover from the frame, and then install the insect cover in its place. Attaches with strong VELCRO® brand tabs. Zips open for ventilation and easy access to crops.
For extra frost protection, use the VegTrug Frost Cover, sold separately. Made from nonwoven polypropylene, it protects plants from cold temperatures, wind and frost, allowing you to extend the growing season earlier in spring and later into fall. To install, simply remove the greenhouse cover from the frame, and then install the frost cover in its place. Attaches with strong VELCRO® brand tabs. Zippers allow easy access to plants.
Hot summer sun can burn tender seedlings and make cool-season crops like lettuce turn bitter. The UV-stabilized polyethylene VegTrug Shade Cover, sold separately, cuts summer sun by 50%. It covers the top of the VegTrug and extends 10" down the sides. This leaves the lower sides open so air can circulate freely around plants. To install, simply remove the greenhouse cover from the frame, and then install the shade cover in its place, securing it with the VELCRO® brand tabs.

Comments about : VegTrug™ Frame & Greenhouse Cover:
I have had a VegTrug for several years and I love it. I just bought another last summer. The frame for the covers does not last long however and you cannot purchase the frame without the greenhouse cover. Water collects in the base connection and rusts the metal frame. Even though they are covered all the time, water still collects in the connection. The greenhouse cover will last forever so I do not need any more, but I have no other choice as you cannot purchase them separately.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Perfect for extending the growing season!
This is the second greenhouse cover I've bought. Using the cover allows me to start my planting a month ahead and I'm able to harvest the fall crop into November which is fantastic for Wisconsin! The zipper allows for easy watering and access from either side of the VegTrug. By opening velcro strips on one side I can even slide the cover across the frame, allowing full sun access during the day, then closing again at night. My plants are also provided some protection from our voracious Japanese Beetles. The cover folds easily for winter storage. I have two VegTrugs and they look very nice when seen from the street.

No more bugs!
from Bryan, TX
This cover fits the frame perfectly and is easy to remove if needed. Plus I don't have to worry about all the bugs down here!
Frame gives plenty of room to maneuver and plant
This frame is tall and easy to work around
I have bought this product several times
The veg trug itself lasted a long time in florida rain and sun. My only disappointment is that when you buy the covers you cannot get the black ones separately. So now I have like 3 unused white ones.
Very good quality

The greenhouse cover and frame let me start my seeds early. I don't have proper light in my house for plants. Everything was growing well by planting time. I will plant more seeds next year

This is the SECOND of three that we purchased.

The first one was so good we purchased two more. Pricey, but worth it for raising our own veggies and staying out of the back doctor's office. This year we started using the insect cover and it is wonderful for shade and blemish free fruits. We are looking forward to using the greenhouse covers and extending our growing season. We've ordered the watering kit designed for this and am looking forward to installing it. Last year we had to use a jury rigged system.
This is the first of THREE that we purchased.
I learned that it is best to assemble this on a flat surface and not in the garden--unless that is perfectly flat. That said, this item is a boon to the aging gardener. We are no longer limited by our bad backs and knees in growing our own food. I don't know how you'd grow tomatoes in this, if you use the insect cover, but otherwise it is just about perfect.
Keep invasive bugs from garden vegetables. Peace of mind
