Like the original 'Endless Summer' hydrangea, newly introduced 'Vanilla Strawberry' produces stunning blooms throughout the summer on both new and old stems. The enormous clusters of flowers start out a creamy white, changing to a soft pink and finally to a ripe strawberry-red as they mature.

Comments about : Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea:
We live in zone 6. This is our 3rd year and while it's growing fine and has a lot of blooms, we've yet to get the color shown in pictures. I don't know how others are supposedly getting it so pink. We get reasons for it not doing so from it being the soil to the fertilizer to the heat. If it needs cooler weather then why sell it in hotter zones? I might be happy if it even got as pink as the photo I attached. All we get is the creamy white that fades to brown.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Love the Quailty
from Dafter, Michigan
The Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangeas that I ordered [...]were planted within 24 hours of arrival in a new bed in all day direct sunlight facing south with a block wall background within 2 feet of the plants. within 6 weeks to 2 months I have seen tremendous growth and now seeing the first flower buds appear. According to all literature I should not see flowers for 1 to 2 years. GREAT PRODUCT.

Not shipped in container
from Belvidere, NJ
I ordered 2 plants, and they did not ship in a container as listed. The bare roots were in a plastic bag. Luckily, Spring came a little early and I was able to get them into the ground within 2 days. The plants seem very healthy, though. I stuck the plants in a bucket with warm water, and leaf buds came out within hours.
