This tool makes it easy to remove and discard deep-rooted weeds like dandelions and thistles. Just position the stainless steel claws over the weed, step on the lever and pull back on the handle; the claws pull the weed out by the roots. Then just push the grip and eject the weed into your cart — no bending, no yanking!

Comments about : UpRoot® Weed and Root Remover:
I live in a 55+ community which comes with outside maintenance--i.e., lawncare, snow removal, etc. However, what they consider an acceptable lawn and what I do aren't in sync. I'm using the UpRoot Weed and Root Remover to oust the broadleaf weeds which have gotten away from the professionals . . . and if I tried to do that on my knees, I'd have a terrible back! Thanks!

Back and knee saver

I love it. Saves so much time and effort, and very effective at pulling out the central root. It does incur more collateral damage than weeding delicately by hand - I now have a bunch of holes in my lawn where weeds used to be - but I'd sooner have that than the unwanted flora.
Works as promised

Works as described, seems sturdy, and has been successful at large weed removal. Would probably take up too much grass and dirt on small weeds.

I'm terrible at digging and pulling weeds myself. This helps a LOT. It's fantastic. Easy to use. I still have to do a lot of bending over to pull some weeds, but my yard is one big weed factory.
I love this!
I have had one of these for several years and love it. It works best when the ground is wet, but gets most, if not all of the root even in dry soil. It really helps with dandelions, pulling the whole foot if you center it over the dandelion and pull back gently and steadily. My daughter has three young children and not a lot of time for weeding, so I got this for her. She was really happy with it.

This is my first and last weeding tool. It feels almost effortless to remove stubborn thistle. It is also aerating the lawn bonus.

Easy to use. Difficult for me to kneel, so this helps me get weeding done in flower beds, grass, etc. Have had weed roots 10+ inches pull right out with this weed remover! Wonderful!

About Me Getting Started
This weed remover is so much fun to use that we ordered another to keep in the garden shed. The first is in the garage so we can grab it when we have a few minutes to remove dandelions. We have a lot of dandelions so it will take some time to catch up with all of them. Since the weed comes out root and all, hopefully we can eventually be under control. Live on a lake so do not want to use chemicals and this is a great alternative that doesn't contaminate the environment.
***** easy to use even for this 75 year old lady!
