Jute replacement netting fits our Lean-To Trellis. Loops at the corners secure it to the corners of the trellis. Biodegradable; at the end of the season, simply snip the netting, bundle up the vines and toss it all in your compost pile.

I like the flexibility to loosen the he netting for plants to grab onto and tighten the netting for strength. It seems this product is not always in stock and I wish Gardeners keeps this netting available.

flimsy and not enough for trellis
This used to be one of my favorite products and I bought it three years in a row for my cucumber trellis. It was strong and ample. The new version is not even big enough to cover the trellis (covers one side or one half) and it's made of much flimsier twine. i'm trying the biodegradable plastic webbing instead this year and hope it is strong enough for the cuke vines.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I've used this other years and it lasts a few seasons.

I used this on the A-Frame Trellis for peas, beans and cucumbers. To keep birds away I tied reflective tape to the top of the trellis - birds stay away thinking the tape is fire, and this held for the entire growing season. I even had a runaway cantaloupe plant and the netting held under the weight of the fruit.

The first year I strung this between 2 bean towers to extend my pole bean rows, it was fantastic. This summer either birds, squirrels or other rodents kept making off with it for nesting material. I replaced it twice with the same animals doing damage before switching to the biodegradeable trellis netting which is so difficult to hang without tangling. I will try the twine again.

We purchased the A-frame and biodegradable netting a couple years ago. This spring we assembled the A-frame and attached the netting, planted the peas, and to our surprise, the netting just simply rotted apart before our peas even reached it.
