Now you can easily apply sprays to trees and tall vines. Using a dual-action manual pump, the Trombone Sprayer applies a continuous spray for complete and even coverage. Simply mix the solution you want to spray in a bucket, insert the end of the 6' leader hose, and pump the 23" long trombone to draw up the solution. A brass cone nozzle adjusts from fine mist to long distance stream. In addition to applying sprays, the Trombone Sprayer is also handy for dispensing water, as well as house maintenance jobs such as cleaning siding.

I used this trombone sprayer to apply Florel fruit inhibitor spray to my crab apple tree/ I needed this spray because the crab apples drop on my driveway and stain it. The sprayer works like a trombone pump and can reach to the top branches and takes suction from an open bucket. The suction hose has a filter and easily feeds the pump. The spray pattern is adjustable.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I was searching for several years for a way to treat the moss on my roof without having to get on my roof (too scared, too steep). I had an environmentally safe product to treat the moss, but no way to apply it since the moss was located near the roof peak. In my research the Trombone sprayer was the only product I could find that was rated to reach the distance I needed to spray this moss treatment product (20 to 25 feet), and that had good reviews from other customers. So I decided to purchase the sprayer from Gardener's Supply. It worked - it really has that spray distance at an upward angle. The Trombone sprayer has saved me from having to do future costly roof repair due to moss damage.
