You asked us for taller tomato cages and here they are! Our heavy-duty, powder-coated steel Tomato Towers are much taller and stronger than old-fashioned cone-shaped supports, ready to support your biggest indeterminate tomato plants. The towers support plants on all sides (no tying needed) and keep plants up off the ground for better air circulation, cleaner fruit and fewer diseases. Large openings make harvesting easy, and the towers fold flat for off-season storage. 53" high installed. In windy locations, we recommend anchoring these towers with our Extra-Tall Earth Staples, sold separately.

New Design Defective

Comments about : Tomato Towers, Set of 2:
I have ordered these cages in the past and loved them. The ones I ordered this year have had a design change which is flawed. The new cages have plastic fittings instead of metal fittings that accept the top-half of the tower. When taking down the my cages this week, I noticed that all the plastic fittings have split up the sides, making the cages unstable and completely useless once this happens. The product description states that the cages are 100% powder coated steel. The old cages were but the new ones ARE NOT because of the fitting design change. I looked for replacement plastic fittings to replace my cracked ones but had no luck finding any. I am very very disappointed with these new cages. Please Please Please revert back to the metal fittings and/or sell replacement plastic fittings.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

If only there was no sun...
By Sue N.
I buy my tomato cages from Gardeners because they are the best out there and I cannot find this gauge of metal cages locally. I bought the towers because my tomato plants get to be eight to nine feet of vertical vine and keeping them growing straight is a problem. When I received these cages, I was disappointed to see the coupling for the cages is a plastic sleeve. I live in NM and the UV exposure here will kill this plastic in less than two months, so I proceeded to wrap them in electrical tape to prolong their life. Also, my problem with stacking two regular tomato cages is the vines get so heavy that they put a lot of stress on where the two join resulting in bending at the union or on collapsing into the other. I will still have to wire these two cages together for strength. Other than that, I am very pleased with the height of the tower as I will be able to place a single cage into the top of this unit to get the height I need for support.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
A marvelous product.

These tomato cages are well-built and easy to assemble. They are tall enough and strong enough for your most aggressive tomato plants.
I will continue to buy these as I expand my garden

I now have 10 of these towers and find them great especially for those tomatoes that seem to like to climb towards the sun. It usually takes two of us to put them together (to get all the top pieces into the bottom holes) but I have cheated and found that if you get most of the pieces together then you zip tie the top to the bottom with the black zip tie it really stays together.
Pleased with the extra height

Using these towers for climbing roses—have never done this before, so I hope it works. The only reason I marked only 4 stars is because I don't yet know if it will support climbing roses.
I have enough towers to last me for the rest of my life.

I have the taller towers so I got these to have a good mix of sizes for all occasions. They are much better than round ones.
I'm excited for the 2018 season with these!

I have enjoyed years of growing tomatoes with many of up to 2 pounds each. The challenge has always been the need for strong bracing on large plants as they grow and produce such big and heavy crops. With my new tomato towers, I am expecting great improvements on the strong vine support, better air circulation and much more consistent sun exposure. I can't wait to get growing! Photos to come for you next season!
my tomatoes need these towers

this is my second set of towers, my tomatoes grow out of the shorter cages and they are easy to take care of in these towers during the growing season. My other cages for tomatoes and peppers have lasted season after season.
Comparable price. Will withstand the wind; very sturdy. Nice color selection. I will use these for my tomatoes and vines.
I actually ordered a couple of these cages in the spring to try them. Of all the cages I used this year these are the only ones still upright. So I ordered more. Love them....
