Additional Information

Exclusive | Super-Sturdy Tomato Cages Support Heavy Yields

  • Extra-strong tomato cages keep tomato plants upright for a bigger, cleaner harvest
  • Big, 8" square openings make harvesting easy
  • Hinged panels fold flat for compact storage

Longtime customer favorites, our heavy-duty, powder-coated steel tomato cages are taller, wider and stronger than old-fashioned cone-shaped supports. And unlike flimsier versions, these are strong enough to support full-grown vines loaded with tomatoes. The tomato cages support plants on all sides (no tying needed) and keep plants up off the ground for better air circulation, cleaner fruit and fewer diseases. Large openings make harvesting easy, and the cages fold flat for off-season storage. In windy locations, we recommend anchoring with our Extra-Tall Earth Staples, sold separately.

Easy to use, easy to store - they function exactly as advertised. Wish they were just a little bit taller though.

Pros

  • Easy to put together, sturdier than typical cone

Cons

Comments about : Tomato Cages, Set of 4:

I ordered these tomato cages with the intent of, big surprise, using them for tomatoes. But I didn't realize that they can disconnect, and stretch out in a straight line. So I may try using them for climbers like my peas. They seems sturdy, and it's nice to have a little color in my vegetable bed.

I use this to protect my little evergreens from bunnies during the winter. These are expandable and we connect wire mesh with twisy ties

Not designed for large tomato plants

Comments about : Tomato Cages, Set of 4:

If you trim and thin your tomatoes, these will work, but large bushy plants are too heavy for this support. I bought them to support raspberry canes off the ground, and they should do fine for that. Big floppy zinnias would benefit from these supports as well.

Doesn't fold up well for storage and needs longer legs to go in the ground for better support.

Comments about : Tomato Cages, Set of 4:

I have purchased other tomato cages online, and they were about five feet high. These are quite a bit smaller, so I'm not sure my tomatoes will stay contained.

This is my second set. I bought my first set this spring. What a difference in my tomatoes this year. Still all green and upright. These cages are so much better that the round ones. Didn't fall down during strong Michigan summer storms. Highly recommend!

      Good for tomatoes...and other plants

      By BobC

      Pros

      • fold flat for storage
      • sturdy enough

      Cons

        Best Uses

Comments about : Tomato Cages, Set of 4:

We use ours for holding up tall false sunflowers. They're sturdy and I love the fold-flat feature for winter storage. One niggle: the legs could be longer for better ground penetration and more certain support. But for what they are, they're great. And I like the color options... adds some eye-pop to the garden

I prefer the Happy Harvest supports. They're easier to handle and very flexible arrangement of crossbars. This one works, but not as flexible.
