Tick Tubes help minimize your chance of exposure to Lyme disease by up to 90%, by killing deer ticks before they have a chance to spread the disease
to you or your pets. The cardboard tubes contain cotton that’s been treated with permethrin. Simply place the tubes in mouse habitat — brushy areas,
ground covers, stone walls. When mice collect the cotton for their nests the permethrin is transferred to their fur. Deer ticks that feed on mice in spring and
late summer are exposed to the permethrin and killed before they can spread the disease. Set of 6 tubes treats 5,500 sq. ft.

From the first year I used the tick tubes ticks disappeared from my farm. They used to rain down on me as I worked outside and get on all the dogs. The last few years we maybe saw one or two ticks anywhere. I hate to go back to the bad old days.

We had ticks in our yard so badly this summer that I couldn't even walk ten feet to our grill without having them on me, and our cats now bring them in regularly despite being treated. I didn't want to use these, especially as another reviewer said they also kill good bugs, but I felt it was necessary to protect my family. I placed them in our low rock wall, and also sprayed my yard with a natural product I bought at Wholefoods. The ticks were gone for months and just started coming back last month, so I have reordered. I gave this four stars because it may not be the most environmentally friendly option, but it did control our tick problem. Climate change has made our yard increasingly tick laden in the fifteen years we have lived at this house, and these tubes did help significantly. While I worry about the environment, I worry also about Lyme disease as it is prevalent in my area.

We love it because it doesn't harm beneficial insects like tick sprays. Mice use the cotton in their nests and it kills ticks when they try to attach. My husband and I put them out in spring and summer and saw a big reduction in deer ticks the following spring. Awesome product.
