We’ve tested this feeder ourselves, and guarantee this is the Fort Knox of squirrel-proof bird feeders. Made of powder-coated galvanized steel, it has an adjustable weight-sensitive perch that completely seals off the feeding port when a squirrel or large bird lands on it. Feeder includes both a hanger and a 58" mounting pole. Holds 15 pounds of seed.

Not with my Squirrels and Chipmunks
About Me Midrange Shopper
Good morningI have several movies made that I did of both squirrels and chipmunks getting the food. Both of them did a great balancing act by getting on top of the roof head first and putting one paw on the window area and pushing down on the wood BIRD perch and then have a delicious meal of bird seed.I will say that most of those critters can not figure it out but these 2 did.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Budget Shopper
We enjoy having our breakfast and watching the squirrels try to get at the food. Quite entertaining.
Durable and works!

I have another similar feeder that I bought at my local hardware store that I had to modify to make it truly squirrel proof. This one is a bit more expensive, but well worth it. It's more durable and squirrel proof right out of the box.

Squirrels No Longe a Problem
from San Antonio, TX
Bought this as a birthday present for my sister who lives in Maine. She had stopped putting out bird seed this Spring because the squirrels were eating it all. Not a problem now. She hung the feeder in a tree and no longer has a problem. There are small squirrels in Maine compared to Texas so she set it at a two and says it is wonderful. Everyone is happy except the squirrels.

Fort Knox Compromised-Not Squirrel Proof
By DC and JK
from Vero Beach, Florida
While the Absolute Feeder became a favorite of several cardinals, after a few weeks, the squirrels soon broke through Fort Knox! The squirrels would either access the feeder tray from above avoiding standing on the tray, or access from the side of the tray.

This is my second absolute feeder. My first lasted over 15 years. The squirrels finally loosened the top so they could get it open. Also the dowel broke that the birds landed on.
Seems right so far-Squirrel Proof
from Pearland, Texas
Placed it outside my kitchen window. Had it set for smaller birds and am seeing so many varieties. It has added to my enjoyment working in the kitchen. Have already taken photos through the window and look forward to spring when I can have the window open - photos will be sharper clarity. Thoroughly enjoying the addition to my garden.
