Reminiscent of an Old World streetlamp from a Dickens tale, this lantern's flickering "candle" conceals one super-bright LED that provides a soft,
realistic glow. It's versatile, too. Use the shepherd's hook, included, to install the lantern along a path or near a doorway. Or you can set it on a table for a
romantic al fresco candlelit dinner, or hang it from your porch. At dusk, the light turns on automatically. Two light options: constant on or flickering.

I bought 2 sets of these (4 langter5ns total)to put in a raised planter box along the edge of our patio. They are quite handsome with a grey powder-coat finish and exactly the right height for my raised planter. The light is soft and very warm and "candle like" which is exactly the effect I was looking for as they are at about eye level when we are sitting at our outdoor table. This is their second season and they are holding up beautifully. I do bring the hanging lanterns in during the winter but leave the shepherd's crook ground stake in place. Though they are perfect for my purpose, I probably would not use them to light a path as the light would be too soft for this purpose in my opinion. I strongly recommend them for a soft, decorative landscape use and am distressed to see they are no longer available. --DEW

This is a unique solar lantern that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I bought 4 a three years ago and would love to get at least 4 more. We use them for our front walkway, but would like to add more for the driveway and front yard. We always get compliments from visitors. I pinned this item on Pinterest and others have pinned them too. They are quite sturdy and still work as well as when we bought them. They are metal and do not look cheap and are totally worth the money!

It was purchased with a gift certificate, so I picked it out. It is charming in the daylight and intriguing at night!

I have had these lanterns for three years now. I keep them in the back yard scattered throughout my many gardens during the summer. The grandchildren like sitting on the deck steps and watching as lights come on as night falls and fireflies begin their night time show. In the winter, beginning by Halloween, I place them throughout the front yard. They are a warm welcome home on cold, dark nights. They will continue to charge some even on cloudy days and they were beautiful this past winter against all of the snow. Great having lighting that does not cost money to use. My biggest complaint with them are the handles do not stay in place very well and I had to make adjustments to them. Also, a couple of them came with bad batteries. Other than that, they are great and I am ordering three more.
