Lighter in weight and easier to maneuver than long-handled versions, these short-handled loppers bring the work closer to your body to lessen fatigue. Perfect for pruning shrubs and small trees where you don’t need the extra reach of traditional loppers. Bypass blades cut green wood up to 1" in diameter. High-carbon steel blades are easily sharpened to last a lifetime of use. Hard rubber handles ensure a secure grip.

A little heavier than I was hoping for.

Comments about : Short Handled Bypass Loppers:
Bypass loppers are designed for green wood and these work well. I was just hoping for a little less weight. Good tool, but I hope Gardeners Supply will be able to offer another bypass that is a little shorter, geared, and lighter weight.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Just what I needed!

This helped me make fast work of a very overgrown blue plumbago. I'd had to give away my larger, heavier loppers. These are the perfect weight and length.

Great for trimming and shaping smaller branches on trees.Lightweight but feels very solid - the handle doesn't give when you apply a lot of pressure for cutting larger diameter branches.
lightweight is a plus

Using on lower branches of shrubs, such as serviceberry, purple plum, lilac. Good for light trimming jobs. The orange handles are easy to spot in my truck bed of tools.

i didn't know lopping shears could be so easy to use. because of accuracy and clean cuts, it takes less time and effort to clear away unwanted bush and tree branches.
