Comments about : Serenade® Garden Disease Control, 32 oz. Spray:
In our area of Northern Wisconsin, this has been a very wet, humid and hot summer. My squash and other plants in my garden all had powdery mildew on them. I try never to use chemicals of any kind on my plants and you recommended this as being as organic as I could get. I had to use it twice and it helped a little but I think the P M had already taken its toll. Most of the big leaves ended up dying but new leaves were coming from the bottom and I treated them and they seem to be okay. I'm still getting lots of squash on the plants even though the shade leaves have died off. It didn't work as I had hoped but I think it was pretty hopeless to begin with. I think it would have worked well if I had it on hand and sprayed immediately.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Disease control spray
this product can cause chemical burn to the plants.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Merchant response: This item is certified organic through OMRI, the only active ingredient is Bacillus subtilis which is a soil dwelling bacterium that eliminates many pests and fungi. This bacterium is found commonly in soil throughout the planet. It's possible that when the pest/disease was eliminated from the plant it left markings on the plant and leaves that appear similar to chemical burns.
