With these protective cones, you can plant tomatoes outdoors up to 6 weeks earlier, and be harvesting by early July! The water-filled teepees regulate temperature, soaking up heat during the day and releasing it at night. Without the stress of weather extremes, plants can put their energy into producing fruit.

Can't live without walls of water in Vermont!

Comments about Red Tomato Teepees, Set of 3:
I love how useful they are! The material on these red walls of water is a bit more sturdy than the green, so easier to fill. I hope they last as long! I need advise on how to dry them before storing for the season.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We used the water walls over our tomatoes. This spring has been abnormally cold and wet, but our tomatoes are growing so quickly! Already they are peaking through the top of the walls. I am going to invest in more for my melons and peppers.
Love these Teepees

About Me Master Gardener
I used the water walls to support early growing season for tomatoes and other plants in Idaho. While some of my friends have yet to plant tomatoes, I have buds on most of my plants. Takes practice to fill with water, but if you stake them to fill, it is a snap.

I purchased these a few years ago and I love them. I use them on my tomatoes and even starting peppers on my deck. Colorado weather is unpredictable and these help my small plants do well until the weather is more consistent. Hint - add the water on alternating sides, it makes things easier - and drier. :)

Looking forward to early tomatoes this year.
I bought an additional set this year.

Great for protecting my tomatoes from late sudden frosts. However, they are very awkward to set up and even more so to take down without damaging the plants.

In only my second year of vegetable gardening, I knew I needed to avoid repeating my first year where my tomato plants grew but didn't produce any fruit. These insulators provided the protection and heat I was missing in my first year and solved the issue of no fruit!
