This recycled rubber tree ring will never scatter, even when you run a mower over it. Unlike bark mulch, it doesn’t acidify the soil, and won’t need to be replaced each year. The ring suppresses weeds while letting air and water reach tree roots. It also keeps mowers and trimmers away from trunks, preventing damage to bark. Slit allows easy placement around trunk. Center hole can be cut with scissors to enlarge.

Great tree ring
from Beckville, TX
Great quality and a great price. No more cleaning up around my tree.
Put these around some small lilac bushes so I don't need to drag out the weed whacker. Easy to install and now can mow right up to the tree without fear of injuring. Nice and heavy so no problem with wind either.

Love the 36" tree ring so much that I bought a 24" for a smaller tree. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. Very prompt delivery by Gardener's Supply also!
Best thing to keep the mowers away
from New York
I have these around my small trees to keep the lawn mowers away and stop them from damaging the trunk. They are effortless to install and last for years - at least until the trees are big enough to withstand some bark damage.

Cost saver in other ways
By Susan the Grounds Volunteer Coordinator

By keeping the weeds at bay, these tree rings keep us from having to spray weed killer around the base of our fruit trees! Our mowing crew can also easily circle the trees, and there's no need to weed-eat! We have found the tree rings to be an investment that's worth the cost. We save money and time on mulch, mowing, weed-eating, and we can comfortably use the fruit to bless others without using pesticides (another cost saver)!
SAVE ON MULCH!
from NEW JERSEY
I have been using these types of rings for years. I find them quite sturdy and last for years! The only difficulty I find with these is cutting the material to fit around the tree trunk. I tried the coco fiber ones, but was disappointed. The fiber did not even last 2 years, not to mention that the birds loved using the fiber as nesting material.
I would buy this product again

This is really heavy duty and will keep the grass from growing up under our small apple trees.
Love the look it gives

Keeps weed from growing underneath and give a nice finished look
Bought four more!

I bought two of these for my mom about three or four years ago and they are still in great shape and doing their job to keep the weeds down around trees she has growing in her lawn. Not a single weed has been able to grow through and they still look great!. The only maintenance was to cut the central hole a little larger this year because the trees had grown, and this was easily accomplished using pruning shears. I just bought 4 more for some baby fruit trees that I planted in the lawn. No need for the mower to mow close to the tree and damage the bark. My only complaint was that one ripped too easily when I pulled it out of the box. However, once installed it still looked fine and the rip did not affect the performance because of the weed barrier that is attached to the bottom.
