A unique manufacturing process lets this mulch stifle weeds yet allow air and water to pass through. Each roll contains 10 recycled soda bottles! Use for perennials and landscape plants, too. Cover with bark or straw mulch for a finished look.

About Me High-end Shopper
The picture is misleading and is not the correct product. The fabric is much lighter in color and allows sunlight to penetrate and actually acts like a greenhouse for weeds. Not sure what this could be used for but certainly not a weed guard.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Very easy to use and install. Effective weed control. Love that it is a recycled product as well. Wondering why we didn't try this sooner.

New garden floor

About Me Midrange Shopper
Used it with the garden staples. Made a new garden over the old one and it works great as a new floor between the old garden dirt and the new soil. Now just waiting for my veggies.

Doesn't block weeds
The only thing this actually blocks is your view of the weeds growing underneath it. The weeds are growing profusely. I'm hoping that at some point this summer, it will get hot enough underneath to cook the weeds.

don't waste your money
from Framingham MA
This product created a greenhouse effect, nurturing the weeds instead of killing them. I have more weeds growing under this weed paper than in the paths of my gardens with no treatment at all! The weeds are literally pushing the weed paper up and out of the way as they are growing profusely. I will need to remove all the paper, dig up all the weeds and lay down a better product, ugh!
Is ti tough enough?
from Natick, MA
The mesh does not seem tight enough to block weed growth. The green color fits in well with visible garden.

Translucent, Requires Other Mulch On Top
By Erin D.
from Williamston, MI
This product is not pictured accurately - the actual product is a very light green, the color of Mountain Dew bottles spun into a film. Weeds very happily germinate and grow beneath it if used on its own. To be truly effective, it needs a thick layer of additional mulch on top of it, which utterly defeats the point. The sustainability of a product is very important to me, and I will gladly pay more for recycled/sustainable materials; however, buying this was like throwing [$] (for two rolls) right out the window. The product needs to transmit less light to discourage weed growth beneath it.

So far, so good
from Westford, MA
About Me Avid Gardener
The guy who cuts my lawn applied this fabric and then a couple inches of bark mulch under a dogwood tree where I had a major problem with perennial weeds (mugwort). 5 weeks later and none of the mugwort has come through (and nothing else has either)!
