Additional Information

Exclusive | Self-Watering Railing Planter Installs in Seconds

  • Convenient self-watering railing planter is simple to install
  • Straddles two sizes of rails — no brackets needed
  • Just fill the reservoir and plants get the water they need, when they need it
  • We recommend one 20-quart bag of our premium Organic Self-Watering Potting Mix; each of these planters holds 20 quarts

Now it’s easier than ever to have lush, colorful plants along a deck railing. This cleverly designed planter securely straddles rails made from both 4" and 6" milled lumber (actual width 3-1/2" and 5-1/2") — no mounting hardware needed. Best of all, it’s self-watering; simply fill the reservoir and plants receive water as they need it.

    Best Uses

We have an elevated deck off of our living room with 8' sliders. These "window" boxes will bring the beauty of our flower gardens right to us, along with the added benefit of butterfly and hummingbird attractors...a lovely enhancement to our mountain view! Also convenient to the kitchen for picking fresh herbs! As we are renting the house, we can add all the planters we want without having to attach them with hardware, and if we do ever decide to move they are "good-to-go" even in the growing season. And we don't have to worry about watering if we are away for a few days here and there this summer. Such a deal!
