Best sprinkler I have owned
from Cleveland Ohio
I would have rated this earlier but wanted to use it some before I did. It is made very well, the quality is very high. I have used extensively the last month and a half and it has far exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this to everyone.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

sturdy and well made
from Idaho Falls, ID
Spray pattern settings are of moderate height and provide great coverage. In Idaho we have winds, not breezes, on a near daily basis. The spray pattern heights are perfect for watering our yard and not the neighbor's yard or driveway or our windows. The rocker arm control stops allow me to water narrow areas or locations near windows with no spray on the windows - on calm days. Finally one device I can use to water the entire yard - sweet!!
one water device for all needs
Use to water yard and garden in Idaho - we are know for our "breezes" of 15-30 miles/hour. Using the patterns available you obtain great water coverage with a pattern that is no more than 4 feet of the ground; SO water stays in your yard and does not blow into the surrounding yards. Rock arm sprays higher than four feet for those non-windy days and the control-stops allow you to control direction very precisely. No more watering the windows. Can now water the entire yard - front and back - with ONE device.
Well made but bad design
from Newton, MA
I bought this for the oscillating function, which in my experience is the best way to water a rectangular lawn. Most oscillating sprinklers have one row of nozzles. This one has three, so that as it oscillates, one of them is always pointing into the ground! You do not want 1/3 of your water ending up in one foot-square patch. I had a puddle within one minute. I called Gardner's wonderful customer service, because I thought I might be misunderstanding something, but I was assured that is how it works. They have refunded my money, which is excellent service, but I wish the original design were comparably good. The push button shut-off is a nice feature. Some may want this sprinkler for the pattern options, but it is a lousy oscillator. Not up to Gardner's usual standards.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Push Button Sprinkler
from Camano Island, Wa
It is so nice to have one unit that can be changed from sprinkler to oscillator without having to change to a different unit. The unlimited setting combinations for the oscillator is a big plus. This is the heaviest duty construction I have seen for a sprinkler or oscillator.
