Is metal the best thing to go under plants?
Comments about : Rectangular Trays, set of 3:
Ive been hunting for trays to fit my plant stand for some time. Although these are clearly meant to fit the stand, they could do better. I have the curved ends as well, and the curve doesn't fit particularly well either.I can't also help but wish they were plastic and green like the stand. With the best will - or galvanised metal - in the world, it seems as if these will eventually rust.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Absolutely perfect! Makes watering multiple plants so easy.

I set similar plants in each tray on top of a layer of pea gravel and add water about 1/2 way to top of tray. As the water is absorbed and evaporates, about every two to three weeks, I simply add another watering to the trays and repeat as needed. Saves so much time!! Love these trays!

I would not buy this product again.
They arrived on time and were attractive, although the picture was slightly misleading as I expected the color to be slightly less gaudy and galvanized. I set them up, filled them with small stones, set the plants in place, filled the trays with water, and stood back to admire them for a while. Suddenly, the leaks started. On 2 of the 3 trays I had to quickly repair water leaks with silicone. The leaks happened at the seams on the ends. Now, with the silicone patches on several corners, the trays are a lot less attractive. I am waiting for the 3rd tray to fail, as the first 2 did. Since I have only had them set up for less than 2 hours, I am pretty sure it will happen before long.Very disappointed. These were not cheap in price, but the quality was certainly cheap.

The trays that I recently bought were a replacement for the trays I bought nearly twenty years ago. I loved the previous trays very much and these are the same. The previous trays after twenty years of being filled with gravel and water had begun to rust. Although they were still serviceable I elected to replace them for cosmetic reasons.
I would use this again
Looks great in my sunroom.Already had a friend want one also.

Attractive, durable design. Retain drainage when plants are watered.
The trays are sturdy and attractive. They retain any water that drains when plants are watered.
