Exclusive | Our Pear Fruit Fly Trap is Effective and Discreet

  • Sparkling crackle glass tabletop trap controls pesky fruit flies
  • Effective and easy to use
  • Eco-friendly: no plastic traps to throw away
  • Includes three packets of non-toxic lure

Who wants annoying fruit flies flitting around the fruit bowl? No one will ever know that this pretty glass pear is also a fruit fly trap, which works like a wasp trap. Attracted by the bait, fruit flies enter and can't find their way back out. Just mix a packet of lure with water, remove the top from the pear and pour in the lure. Every two weeks or so, simply rinse out the pear and add a fresh batch of lure — no plastic traps to throw away. Includes three packets of non-toxic lure; additional lures sold separately. Choice of Green or Yellow.

We have two of them

The secret to using this think is to know your target audience. See what the "fruit" flies like to be around. If they congregate on your wine bottle, then use wine. I had some "fruit" flies that liked bread dough, so I used a bit of dough. Whatever it takes to get them trapped.

During canning season is our big fruit fly season. So as soon as one pear gets popular, we put it in the freezer to kill off the accumulated flies. That's why we have two of these pears.

pretty, but not really effective

Comments about : Yellow Pear Fruit Fly Trap with 3 Lures:

I followed the instructions to the letter, but didn't see a whole lot of success with this. Even left the top off eventually to give them a more direct route to the lure. I still have it as a decoration (it is very pretty), but found that a shallow dish of water with a drop of dish washing liquid in it works better.

My work breakroom has a big fruit fly problem so I bought this fly trap and even though it has not resolved the issue completely it is certainly helping. Thank you!

I throughly enjoy seeing this in my kitchen window with the sun shining thru it! It is both functional and quite stunning. I purchased both the golden and green varieties.

I have purchased 2 of the green pears. They are great way to disguise your fruit fly battle. They are a little tricky to get the liquid into place without making a mess...make sure to do this over a sink and don't be disappointed if some spills.

These really are as simple as they seem. We were over run with fruit flies when we came back from vacation (I know, we forgot to toss the bananas!). Quickly ordered this beautiful fly trap and they were gone within a day!
