Who wants annoying fruit flies flitting around the fruit bowl? No one will ever know that this pretty glass pear is also a fruit fly trap, which works like a wasp trap. Attracted by the bait, fruit flies enter and can't find their way back out. Just mix a packet of lure with water, remove the top from the pear and pour in the lure. Every two weeks or so, simply rinse out the pear and add a fresh batch of lure — no plastic traps to throw away. Includes three packets of non-toxic lure; additional lures sold separately. Choice of Green or Yellow.

Comments about : Yellow Pear Fruit Fly Trap with 3 Lures:
I bought two traps. It was a great Christmas gift for my Stepmom and Dad. Plus, the yellow pear fruit fly trap help us to get rid of those nasty fruit flies. In addition, it was a lovely glassware in which friends and family members were unware of it being a bug trap.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

It is nice change for a good looking trap

To hold the liquid lure made as suggested, this container can tip too easily. The volume of the area for the liquid is too small.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Works great and looks good too!

I was surprised at how well this works. I have a lot fewer fruit fly flying around my face and quite a few in the fruit fly trap. I purchased the yellow pear and no one knows what it is. They just think it is a decorative piece. I love the cracked glass look too.

Disappointed with this. Not one fruit fly inside.

Not as great as I had hoped
I bought two of these and have not been very impressed. The well looks higher in the picture and the one i have spills over most of the liquid.

We have two of them

The secret to using this think is to know your target audience. See what the "fruit" flies like to be around. If they congregate on your wine bottle, then use wine. I had some "fruit" flies that liked bread dough, so I used a bit of dough. Whatever it takes to get them trapped.During canning season is our big fruit fly season. So as soon as one pear gets popular, we put it in the freezer to kill off the accumulated flies. That's why we have two of these pears.
