Cover Doesn't Hold Up
from Pleasanton, CA
The frame is super sturdy and that's probably the best thing about this greenhouse. It's fairly easy to set-up for 2 people. The UV protected cover is difficult to get on and fits really tightly to the frame. So tight that it's hard to zip and unzip the door. The zipper gets stuck a lot. The material is too thin around the zipper areas and easily falls apart. The UV protected cover fell apart at the zipper sections before 8 months of use. The stakes are not good enough to secure it in a good wind. We bought heavy duty tent stakes and it stayed in place in 80 MPH winds. This is something that you'll want to keep up as taking it down would be a royal pain. The cover if it lasted longer would make this a decent greenhouse. It could use some form of heat and ventilation on the top vs. the sides and bottom. A fan inside that clips to the center pipe would also be super helpful to get air circulation as it gets very hot and humid.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Hot House - Green House
By Paula the Master Gardener
The outside fabric/plastic material is very sturdy and so is the pipe frame structure. The vents on the sides will help to cool down the interrior and reduce the humidity somewhat. The door will help reduce both of those even more. No instructions for using it as a Green house. Also, if the outside temperature gets cold so does the Greenhouse. There isn't much of a warming factor with it when it's cold out. Even with all the vents and door closed when it's warmer inside than outside. I'm using it to hold more mature plants such as cabbage, Broccoli, Peppers, etc before I harden them off for transplanting into the garden.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Keeping it green
Perfect size for the yard. It was a gift and it was a welcome present. However, the company did send two by mistake. They did arrange for pickup and return but not after trying to sell the additional one to me. Good thing I am basically honest or I could have kept it and not said anything.

If, like me, you had a small cold frame or two, young or delicate plants, a small yard, and a neighborhood of squirrels or rabbits that would dig up or gnaw on anything you placed outside, this is the right place to come. This greenhouse is a marvelous starter kit. It can be put together by one person, though I'd recommend two. It is strong, quite strong, and protective, yet well-ventilated (with closable vents) when that is your desire. I have not used this through a winter yet, but as a place to let plants grow to a size where they'll hold their own against storms or vermin in warmer months, this greenhouse is ideal. The metal structure looks plenty able to take snows and nor'easters when anchored securely.Do read the description closely: this greenhouse is small, and yet mine has accommodated fifteen feet of shelving (not included) with room for a couple of larger potted plants. It's a starter house for a hobbyist, with a starter pricetag -- half the floor area of a fancy hobbyist greenhouse, at one-tenth or less of the price. If you want to test the waters before moving up to something larger, you can't do better that I have found.
