We’ve all been there: lugging heavy bags of mulch to the car, straining our backs and making a mess. These dehydrated coir mulch blocks weigh just 9 pounds and are delivered right to your door. Just add water and in 20 minutes, you’ll have 2 cubic feet of earth-friendly mulch. Made from coconut husks, coir has better water retention than bark, and reduces the temperature and moisture fluctuation by 50%. Keeps its rich color, too.

I have bought this product for the past 2 years.
These compact blocks are great! I use them to mulch my flower garden every year.
Always kept on hand

If I wanted to mulch large areas of my yard at once, I'd buy cheaper mulch at the big-box store. These blocks cost quite a bit more but, since I have little storage space to spare, they let me have mulch available any time I need it. These are really compacted and so don't expand magically, as the packaging makes it sound. Because it floats in water, you have to pull it apart as the block gets wet, then throw the smaller parts back in the water until it finally breaks up. But it's great to be able to keep just a bit available at all times to do what you want to when you want to do it.

This product is so much better than other mulch that I've tried before. Other mulches disappear in a few months, but this one lasts much longer. What's important to me is quality for the price, and this product has it. After all, this is the "icing on the cake" when all the hard work has been done to create beautiful landscapes. I also like that its easier to carry instead of lugging heavy bags of other mulch.

Nice mulch but pricey when the wind blows it out of the flower bed.

Love this Mulch!!!

I just finished mulching around my raised garden beds, and I must say this product is great! It doesn't get blown around and my garden remains neat and tidy. Added bonus: My son loved watching the blocks expand!
Would buy again
Mulching in the flower beds and the paths
Greatest thing since sliced bread!
I am using it in the cone stands I bought from you, my regular containers, my heavy pots, etc. everything that goes into a container has to be hauled up a longish steep hill. Throw them all in a wheelbarrow (also purchased from you) push them easily up the hill, keep in a large galvanized trash can, reconstitute in wheelbarrow as needed. Oh, and water less often. I mix with soil for some things! I am 65 years old and this means I can continue my garden hobby.
Try this mulch block and you will buy it again!

I put the mulch block into a large storage container and pour a gallon of water (at a time) on the block. I use a three prong rake to scratch the block then add more water and repeat, as well as turning the block over and scratching the damp side. I mix the coconut mulch and let it sit for a while so it can absorb more water. You want it wet to apply around your plants, trees and shrubs so it doesn't blow away in the wind. Once you have applied the wet mulch, it seems to stay in place well. It makes watering your plants easier because it helps hold water around the roots and keeps the root zone cooler. One block generally makes enough to fill four, 5-gallon buckets. If you recycle and reuse products, you will also appreciate how environmentally friendly and efficient this product is.

Better than carrying heavy bags from home store

... or using a wheelbarrow from a truck dump. The blocks weigh less, have a handle to carry. Place in the wheelbarrow, add water and watch it expand. The just grab a handful, squeeze out, and drop where needed.
