Recycle and reuse a standard wide-mouth canning jar to create earth-friendly garden lighting! The kit includes a threaded plastic lid with three short LED light strings attached. Simply insert the light strings into your jar and screw on the top. A small solar panel on the top charges the battery so that when dusk falls the twinkling LED lights begin to glow. Place in full sun to charge. Provides up to 5 hours of lighting on a full day's charge. Total of 9 amber LEDs. On/off switch. Jar not included.

Love these lights
from Southern California
I really love having these around the yard. remind me of fireflies. I have jars on the steps on the front porch and on the tables in the backyard. I plan on getting more to add around the yard.
Good for Mood Lighting

This works fine. It doesn't put out much light, but it is nice for atmosphere on a summer evening, and doesn't interfere with starlight.
Love it but...

Excellant product! Reminds us of the firefly jars of our youth. The wife bought four more as gifts to her friends. Will order yet another when we have relocated to our summer residence later this summer.Charles McGuffin

I wanted to hang this outside. But water gets in from the rain and it won't work.

Draws the neighbors in to chat after dark.

I was disappointed in this product. I bought it for my patio to light it up at night. As we have a county farm, I thought lights in mason jars would be cute. But these solar lights leak and then quit working. They were not very bright when they did light up. I suppose if you had them in a covered space they would work better but you would need to still allow them some sunshine to charge them. I bought one to try but will not buy another. This is the first product I purchased that I was unhappy with.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My husband say's it looks like fire flies caught in a jar like when we were kids. It's very cute and fits many different jars I tried until I settled on the old antique one that was my Mom's. She's in Heaven so I think fond memories when its lit.
