Cleaned them up
from Lubbock TX
Comments about : Fruit Fly Lures, Set of 3:
We had gotten rid of the worst of our fruit flies before the lures arrived, but they did well at cleaning up the last stragglers! I wish we'd ordered them sooner. I like the pot you put the lures in. It is unobtrusive and sits under our compost bucket nicely.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Fruit Flies dead

Fruit flies still prefer real fruit
from Escondido, CA
The fruit flies still go through the carbon filter into the kitchen compost crock, instead of into the trivet with the lure. The lure must initially be mixed with water, but in our dry climate it evaporates out of the trivet after about a week, so the measured amount of water had to be re-added. Some flies go in the trivet lure, but most go into the compost crock and multiply within a few days. This might work better earlier in the summer to help prevent the fruit flies, but it doesn't work once they're established in the kitchen. Yuk.
I would not purchase this again, it stinks

Not appealing to VT. fruit flies!
from Chester, VT.
Purchased these along with a ceramic trap. Followed instructions for set-up. Not one fruit fly entered the trap opening in a two-week period. Worst thing is I purchased one for my daughter in Nevada, also. Hoping Nevada fruit flies find the lure odor more appealing! Waste of my hard-earned money.Wouldn't have even given this one star, but, it will not accept review without assigning stars. This is really a "ZERO STAR" review

Fruit flies love it. So glad I stopped for awhile when I was waiting for a shipment and there was a noticeable difference.

Really eliminates fruit flys.
from Fresno, CA
It took me a minute to resolve the easiest & most efficient manner to mix & pour the into the beautiful glass pear container but I accomplished the task. However, it recommends not using a soap with any citrus products in it, now that is not easy. Every dish soap in our house had some measure of citrus in it. I finally settled on a unscented glycerine product. It works!
