Attractive, heavy-duty polypropylene runner mat has a waterproof backing and “water dam” edge to keep moisture, mud, and grit contained. Raised design scrapes boots clean; grippers on bottom keep mat in place and prevent slipping. Low profile for easy door clearance. Just vacuum clean when dry, or hose off and air dry for deep cleaning. Made of tough anti-static, polypropylene that holds up to 1-1/2 gallons of liquid per square yard, yet dries quickly and won't fade or rot. Rubber backing.

Comments about : Laurel Leaf Water Glutton Runner Mat, 35" x 84":
This is both super attractive and water trapping. Easy to vacuum. I have had a smaller one for years & wish I had done this size sooner.

Strong smell of rubber
from Georgetown, Texas
I use this mat in my laundry room in front of my washer and dryer. The door from the garage enters into the laundry room. The mat looks nice but the rubber backing smells strong. The black color show every piece of dirt and lint. The good thing is that is catches the dirt before it gets into the rest of the house. The leaf pattern is very attractive.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Expensive, but worth it.
from Kenosha WI
My enclosed front porch has a painted floor that gets slippery when coming in from the snow. This keeps me and/or my guests from slipping and sliding.
Worth the wait

We live in North Country New York and often bring wood in to our tiled-floor mudroom from the barn. The floor is a killer when wearing snow-covered or wet boots and this rug is literally a life saver. I bought two and love them. Cuts down on the mess, no falling on the floor anymore, and the rug grips the floor like a champ!!

The product is very attractive, stays put when you walk on it and does exactly what I wanted it to do. As advertised, it keeps dirt & moisture from the floor, however it does stay damp for quite awhile before I can vacuum off the dirt.

water glutton runner mat
By Lisa Lynn

Looks great in my kitchen and does a great job keeping the floor clean from mud and debris.I love the way the color looks with my new flooring, but I do notice a little bit more dirt shows with the light tan color than with the darker colors. But I knew that going in and planned to just vacuum it clean more often. I like the size too...big enough to allow a couple of people to come in and remove their boots before walking into the house.

Does what it's supposed to do
from Central Texas
First, let me say these mats are brilliant. They catch water, dirt, pet hair, and all sorts of stuff you don't want in your house. They keep their color and wear like iron. I bought one to place at the door to the mud room and it worked so well that I bought another for an entry on the same side of the house that has high traffic. They catch dirt AND won't let it go. And there's the problem. You can't vacuum it off (except for dust/dirt), you can't beat it off. Gardener's suggests hosing it and air drying it, but I can't see how this will dislodge the pet hair. (We have two big dogs and two cats.) This probably wouldn't stop me from buying another, if I needed one. One can't fault a product for working too well, I guess. However, this is my ONLY complaint about these mats. They really do work well.
