Attractive, heavy-duty polypropylene floor mat has a waterproof backing and “water dam” edge to keep moisture, mud, and grit contained. Raised design scrapes boots clean; grippers on bottom keep mat in place and prevent slipping. Low profile for easy door clearance. Just vacuum clean when dry, or hose off and air dry for deep cleaning. Made of tough anti-static, polypropylene that holds up to 1-1/2 gallons of liquid per square yard, yet dries quickly and won't fade or rot. Rubber backing.

About Me Midrange Shopper
My back patio area has water retention issues, and it is the most convenient way to enter and exit the house for both humans and pets. So needless to say that during this wet spring we had, there was a dirty path from the door into the house. I tried several other rugs inside this door before ordering this one. This rug stays in place, absorbs moisture and light mud, and protects my hardwood floors from muddy paw and boot prints. It is good at collecting the small organic particles (leaves, dirt clumps, grass clippings, etc.) from being tracked all over the house too. When my senior dog got sick on the rug, I simply took it outside, rinsed it with a hose, left it in the sun a few hours to dry, and put it back. Perfect.
I can't stop buying these!

Live on five acres of woods with two English Setters. I started with a mat for the garage and two long runners that cover most of the back hallway. These runners stay put, look nice and grab leaves, dirt, pet hair, everything. Easily vacuum off. One dog was skunked, I rolled the runners up, took them outside, used a pushbroom, soap and a hose. Way too easy. I've since added some doormats, and the smaller size is just as effective, doesn't slip even on hardwood floors. I'm much easier to live with now!

So far, so good
from Elroy, WI
I bought this mat mainly to foil my miniature schnauzer who digs on regular rugs, pulls fibers out of them and bunches them up so that I can't get the door open. This mat has a short fiber which so far he has not been able to scratch loose. The rubber backing is stiff so that he can't bunch the mat up and block the door. In addition, I like the fact that you don't put these mats in the wash machine. I hate shaking out rugs and most rubber backed rugs deteriorate very quickly with washing. These mats are easy to vacuum off and if they get dirty, you take them outside and hose them down. Much better than machine washing.
