Years ago, people stored "keeper" crops such as apples, winter squash, onions and potatoes on rustic wooden racks like this one. The drawers are slatted to ensure good air circulation, and they slide out for easy access. For best results, the rack should be located in a cool, dark cellar or shed.

May Need Another One!

Easy assembly. Very sturdy. Holds all the winter squash, potatoes and onions I had scattered all over the basement floor! I may need another one for my garlic crop next Spring!

I love this storage rack and have been using it for garlic, onions, squash, and potatoes. The drawers catch a little on the sides and need to be jiggled back into place.
Bought it last year

Bought this last fall and it was really great for storing potatoes, garlic and shallots. Highly recommend it, though it is not cheap

I have been looking at the Orchard Racks for a few years now. I ordered 2 for our newly completed shade house and they are fabulous! Easy to put together and well made. An added bonus is the sweet smell of cedar that these racks are made of. I use the racks to dry my home grown fruits and veggies, as well as roses petals, lavender, cones, lichens, etc. used for craft projects and homemade beauty products.
Beautiful and functional
Solves our problem of vegetable storage out of the garden. My only complaint is that some pieces arrived broken - for us it made sense to fix it rather than send it back due to our potato harvest coming in.
Easy to assemble, seems well-made
Seems well-constructed, was easy to assemble (with the help of a couple of clamps). Seems perfect for the intended use of over-wintering fall crops like potatoes, sweet potatoes, and winter squash.

I run a horticulture program and we bought this to dry herbs on. I stapled window screen to each shelf. It is absolutely perfect for this use. The wood shelves are light weight so taking them in and out are a breeze. The construction is solid, design is compact, and the 9 shelves are perfect for the amount of herbs we grow. I priced out the materials and labor to make this would have exceeded what you can purchase it for on here. I would love to purchase another and purchase a couple for my home use.

I bought this for myself in order store garden produce to extend our enjoyment of our garden. The only thing that we did was add a support on the bottom for the industrial casters we added. This is an awesome product!

About Me Casual Cook
The product arrived in a timely matter, four out of nine racks we had to rebuilt, the drawers were not in tacked together at all. Very poor design, not worth the 200+ dollars. Didn't want to return it because we live so far away in country it would have been a hassle. Nothing lines up, easy to put together if you had all of it in tacked!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
