Years ago, people stored "keeper" crops such as apples, winter squash, onions and potatoes on rustic wooden racks like this one. The drawers are slatted to ensure good air circulation, and they slide out for easy access. For best results, the rack should be located in a cool, dark cellar or shed.

Comments about : Orchard Rack, 9 Drawer:
Time will tell how this product will hold up in a year's time. I like the design, but question how sturdy this product might be through a summer harvest.

The box was all taped up with holes in it. And when we opened it on Christmas morning, one piece was separated and has to be repaired. Terrible ship condition.

Great quality at a great price!

I was recently looking for an attractive way to store vegetables and fruit harvested from our garden. After seasons of storing produce on kitchen counters, dinning room tables and in card board boxes I decided to invest in this beauty. It is an aesthetically appealing storage solution, which smells of fregrant cedar. The shelves allow for easy air circulation, and even near a window items that need to be out of direct sunlight are shaded by the upper racks! In purchasing this piece from Gardeners I will be able to keep more of what I grow, and extend its shelf life. Now my husband can't complain about counter space being taken up! Thank you Gardeners!

This was so easy to put together. We had it in place ready to use in no time at all.The drawers glide in and out easily and I love the simple design of it. With the amount of produce we had this year I think we may need to buy a second one!
serves purpose as intended

Easy assembly. Very sturdy. Holds all the winter squash, potatoes and onions I had scattered all over the basement floor! I may need another one for my garlic crop next Spring!

I love this storage rack and have been using it for garlic, onions, squash, and potatoes. The drawers catch a little on the sides and need to be jiggled back into place.
Bought it last year

Bought this last fall and it was really great for storing potatoes, garlic and shallots. Highly recommend it, though it is not cheap

I have been looking at the Orchard Racks for a few years now. I ordered 2 for our newly completed shade house and they are fabulous! Easy to put together and well made. An added bonus is the sweet smell of cedar that these racks are made of. I use the racks to dry my home grown fruits and veggies, as well as roses petals, lavender, cones, lichens, etc. used for craft projects and homemade beauty products.
