Birds hated it!

Comments about : Fruit Feeder:
I bought this yrs ago. The birds never went to it. And the metal got rusty & the ornament fell off of the thing. Usually I like their products but was very disappointed in this.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I place a cut orange on it just like the picture. Put this fruit holder on a branch of a palm tree and the birds landed on the branch and pecked at the orange.

A great idea for displaying fruit; however, it needs a bolt or latch to secure the fruit on the pin.
Best I've Found!

A very useful feeder. I've had mine for 4 years, and it's just now needing to be replaced. Actually, it's only the fruit "spear" that needs replacing. I bought a similar feeder from another online retailer--no way was it up to use by numerous birds. I never even used it. I like the heavy metal used, and its ease of use. I found that the bird that comes with the feeder won't stay on it, and I imagine the orioles probably wouldn't be excited about it, either. My only suggestion for improvement is to have a bit sharper point on the "spear" for easier skewering of the orange. Thank you, Gardeners Supply, for this great fruit feeder. Please keep it in your catalog!
