This large, decorative daffodil lures and traps Japanese beetles to prevent them from munching your roses, grapes, etc. The dual-action lure includes both floral and pheromone components and attracts up to 5 times as many beetles as single-bait lures. Beetles are attracted to the lure in the flower, and then tumble down the "stem" and into the collection bag below, where they dry out and die. Place the trap at the edge of your landscape to intercept beetles and keep them away from your plants. Footed ground stake holds trap securely upright. Lure lasts one season. Additional lures and replacement collection bags are available.

Japanese Beetles were chewing up lots of my plants this summer. I ordered 2 of these traps, one for the back yard and one for the front. Within 5 minutes of setting them up, I had beetles in the trap. I was amazed how effective they were at catching the beetles. I caught hundreds in both traps and it was late summer when I installed them! They are very attractive to put in your yard so it does not even look like a bug trap at all.

Is this a help or not?

U of Kentucky states traps are good for survey, but actually attract beetles for miles. Besides the 1000+ beetles I've caught(by July 7th), I hand pick 50 to 100 beetles off my roses daily. So, is this attracting more beetles to my yard?I am going to take down the traps this week and see if it helps.I plan to spread milky spore in August.

Love this and would buy more if it were still available. I bought this over the winter and just put it up a few days ago. It has caught hundreds within these first few days. They try to land and just slip into the trap. I had bought a spare bag and so glad I did! The first time checking it within 24 hours they were backed up the "stem", I took off one bag and had to put the other on immediately. Not sure how long the lure is supposed to last, but it works even after a rainstorm. (Got one the second day.) I plan to by more lures so I don't have to worry about my veggies & cherry trees, which are no longer being attacked, yay!

I just this week put it out as our season for the beetles has begun. It was very simple to put together, putting the bait onto the trap was a bit challenging but got it done. Last season the Beatles completely devoured my grape crop and several of my veggetable plants. I will update my review in a few weeks.
