Love this light, but had some minor set up issues
By Gardening Cat

Comments about : High Intensity Light Fixture:
I bought this to replace a single bulb unit that I use for indoor, winter gardening. I have it set up in my living room, with half the space dedicated to fresh herbs and the rest to plants that live outside in warm weather. It's been a month, and so far I love it. My only minor issue was that the set up directions didn't exactly match what came in the box. But I was able to figure it out.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Abundant light for houseplants
Bringing in the houseplants means a thorough cleaning, possible pruning, and finding a spot with adequate light. This year I added this expensive light fixture. Plants get window light until late afternoon; then an automatic timer turns on the lights until bedtime. The added light brightens our dining room just when the family is home and needs more light. Plants are thriving.
Lightweight and simply effective

I'm an artist using this lighting fixture to grow an edible garden inside for an installation project. The light is easy to assemble, hang, and grow with.
I love this light but ...
from Janesville, WI
This light is wonderful -- when it works. At least once a week, I have to go out and play with the connection cords that connect the lights to make two of them come on. Usually only one light is working, the main one. For the price, I think that is completely unacceptable. That said, however, my plants are happy even when I am not because I do go out and make those lights work, although I know there must be a better way to connect them all to power than what is currently being supplied.
Yes I would buy this product again.
I have a lot of potted plants that I bring inside when it gets cold outside. I use this grow lights to maintain them for the whole winter time. They are really helpful and I love them a lot.

I would look for another grow light

Very nice but the rings to hang the lights should come with it.
Great product, missing one thing
from Hadley, MA
I totally love this, and would gladly give it five stars if it came with the rings to attach the hanging straps (sold separately, also without the rings). I end up wrapping aluminum wire around where the rings would attach. That worked, but it's annoying to not have the rings included.

High Intensity grow lights work!
from Charlotte, VT
My high intensity lights are rigged onto self made 'grow shelves'. The ease of lowering and lifting them to just the right height (using the pulleys provided) over my plants is one of the best features and provides for sturdier plant stems. At random times a bulb will not come on and that requires a minute of adjusting, but I have just discovered that if I leave them alone, they will all come on. I'd prefer consistency but this is a minor concern. I am quite pleased with the T-5 lights. I use the 3-across system so that all plants have practically the same distance to the light.
