Originally designed for storing fresh eggs, this roosting hen is also a delightful way to serve dinner rolls or hard-boiled eggs, or to corral keys and sundries for a tidy countertop. Made from chip-resistant ceramic, it holds six to ten eggs.

Perfect for my country farmhouse kitchen.
I use this for decorative only. The feather colors remind me of chickens from my youth. I imagine I will be using it for a catch all. Nice size and lityle chick is darling.

I bought this for my daughter who raises fancy chickens, and loves chicken décor in her kitchen. She absolutely loved It , it is glazed ceramic and needs to be on a shelf so it can be protected from everyday traffic. Great decoration for springtime or Easter too. Four stars not five only wish it were of heavier type of porcelain.
Really like it
