Give your plants the gentle yet soaking shower they crave! Made by Haws, an English company known for its high quality gardening accessories, this watering can has two handles for easy carrying and pouring. The plastic-backed brass rose can be rotated upward for an extra-gentle shower, or downward for a heavier flow. A right-angle downspout attachment provides precise watering for pots and hanging baskets. Holds a generous 6 liters (approx. 1-1/2 gallons), making it ideal for thirsty patio plants. Handy "parking points" at the base of the spout store the rose or downspout when not in use.

Split Rose connection
By Orchid Grower
from Pasadena, CA
Nice soft flow from the rose attachment until it split after using it four times. The split causes the water to spurt out from it and spray at my feet. With out the rose, the flow is too harsh for my watering need. I can use the watering can with the alternate tip but flow is still to strong. Why would i need this watering can without the rose, I can get same affect using a one gallon bottle water jug. I wrote to customer service and never got a response back on a replacement rose. Too bad the rose connection was seamed, if it was molded, I don't think it would have split. Now the can just sits taking up space, until I decide what I can do with it.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Perfectly balanced, light to handle, a real winner!

Grow most plants from seed. Love the gentle spray for seedlings. Also used to water new plants when transplanted to my 1/4 acre walk thru garden. Also used in our 1/2 acre garden for our food. For 47 years I have used nothing but metal watering cans because they lasted for so long (they were so heavy). I love the fact that I can lift it, grab it by the bar when it's full of water and it is so comfortable to use. Lesson learned; Sometimes the old way is not the best way. Only problem this water can caused was my husband wants one too. Who would have thought one water can could make 2 old seniors so happy!

I love this for watering my container plants. The sprinkle attachment gives a gentle, rain-like watering.
A nice, good looking watering can
from Kingston, NY
Bought this because I was tired of those $5 watering cans from the big box stores that don't balance when full & have a horrible shower head. This can is nice to hold and is gentle on my delicate micrograms. I've read about the head splitting, but, so far so good. I try to handle it gently.
I Would buy this product again

excellent design, appears to be very durable plastic, brass rose won't corrode, hard to slosh water out of full load, easily carried, angled head is good for overhead watering. Hawes warrants the plastic for years as well.
First Season Watering Can
from San Andreas, CA.
I have carpal tunnel, so I am always looking out for light-weight and easy to use gardening items. This plastic Haws can fits the bill. I did read other posts and was somewhat reluncted to purchase. I now have a collection of 4 plastic watering cans purchased locally and all have only lasted one season IF THAT. This Haws can is a pleasure to use, it is well balanced and even when full of water it's not too heavy.. I was careful when attaching the Rose to the can, being plastic, I let it sit in the sun for about an hour after that had no problems. Mine does not leak YET, as this is its first season.

Designed with ergonomics in mind.

This is the second Hawes watering can I have owned. The first was a gift 10 years ago and it still is in great shape. It is very comfortable to use as I have arthritis in my hand. The support of a second hand is easy with this design. Love the choice of watering spouts.

A garden essential

This is our second one (we wore out the first after many years). It's very well designed, functional and actually quite sturdy.
