Years ago, people stored "keeper" crops such as apples, winter squash, onions and potatoes on rustic wooden racks like this one. The drawers are slatted to ensure good air circulation, and they slide out for easy access. For best results, the rack should be located in a cool, dark cellar or shed.

Great, easy, simple, and love it!
I purchased this for my wife for Christmas. She wanted it, and was super stoked to see how perfect it is. I put this together on Christmas day in about 5 minutes, extremely easy. The plus for me is that now all of our herbs that she has hanging from the ceiling, bumping my tall head, can go on her new drying rack, win/win!

The rack assembled quickly and easily. It looks great and is large enough to hold much of my fall harvest. So far the drawers slide in and out nicely.

Great for my storage of my apples and all the other goodies, onions, garlic, winter squash, potatos. The wood also smells real good. Super simple to assemble. Thanks!

Just assembled the orchard rack. It has a nice wood smell. Draws come out easily in order to fill and then put back in rack. I just sorted a bushel of apples in it. Plenty of space between drawers.
Nice Built Rack, would buy it again

I have a "cold house" similar to a root cellar and it is just what I was looking for to hold fruit, until I have a minute to get it canned.
