Japanese beetles are one of the most destructive garden pests. As adults, they ravage your flowers and vegetables. As young grubs they devour your lawn's root system, and they attract skunks and moles. Grub Guard beneficial nematodes are naturally occurring microorganisms that live in the soil, feeding on Japanese beetle grubs. Unlike chemical controls, they won't harm earthworms or most beneficial insects, and they are safe around pets. Single-application sponge. The 1 million size will treat 2,000 square feet; the 6 million size will treat 12,000 square feet.

I use it on the vegetables and the lawn. I've seen a difference for the last two years. I apply using both hand and hose sprayer.

Safe solution for grub control

About Me Professional
I used this product twice this spring due to a heavy grub infestation in some of my raised beds. The first application did not do much, mostly because I didn't keep the soil damp enough, but the second one was more effective. I still have some grubs remaining, but they are far fewer in number. To apply the beneficial nematodes, I used a 1 gallon handheld sprayer and sprayed the soil well. It is very important that the soil is damp before application and to water well afterwards. Best results if the nematodes are applied in the evening and right before a rain shower or storm. It's also very important to keep the soil damp for several weeks afterwards. I used floating row covers to help retain soil moisture in my most problematic bed, and that seemed to have improved effectiveness. This product will work, but not immediately (takes a couple weeks for full effect) and only if you follow the instructions! You also may need more than one application for a heavy grub infestation. The biggest benefit is that it is safe and non-toxic.
I tried this product a few weeks ago so it's to early to say

The grubs (and moles) are gone from my lawn after applying this product. Follow the directions and you're on your way to a chemical-free, grub-free lawn.

So far so good. I've managed to spread the Grub Guard all over my yard and to date have not found any grubs or beetles which usually start showing up this time of year. I think one more treatment will help to keep these nasty critters away for the rest of the season.
With Grub Guard my grass is growing back in one week!

About Me Novice
Looked up video on u-Tube for demonstration video. Mix sponge into bucket of water and apply with hose end sprayer. Sit back and let the nematodes do all the work! My kind of task.
Seems to work as expected.
