A pretty way to water houseplants! Just fill with water, gently push the spike into the potting mix, and water is released slowly to help houseplants thrive. Clear glass, so you can see when it's empty and time to refill.

It helps to keep a medium size potted indoor planted from drying out. The plant is doing well with it.

I was very disappointed in this item. I read the directions carefully several times and followed them to the letter. The water level in the bird did not move for several days. The stem was not clogged. I returned it to the soil and the bird emptied completely. I kept trying for a couple of weeks and now have a dead plant.

I bought 4 of these to use with house plants. I filled them and less that 5 days later the plants were dying. The soil pushed up inside the stem and the water could not be released.
Not sturdy enough & color is misleading
Bought this to give to my Mom who is an avid indoor plant gardner. In the picture the product looks like a pretty teal blue, when it arrived I realized it is clear glass, not as nice and looks cheap. Also, glass is very thin. I bought glass ball versions of this years ago and the glass was much thicker and hardier. Returning same day I received and going to look elsewhere for better made product.

I tried using these in small flower pots that I was growing hibiscus seeds. I went away on a trip for 5 days. The plants were dead!

I use this in a small houseplant hanging by my kitchen sink. The scale is large, I should have read more carefully to see it's exact size. It would look best in a 12" pot or bigger. It clogs regularly, and mine stopped flowing when it was halfway empty. I noticed no drop in water and curling plant leaves and pulled it out to investigate. Easy to fix, but bad if it clogs while you're away - your plant won't get any water.
