Additional Information

Exclusive | Our Revolutionary, Self-Watering Tomato Planter Guarantees the Maximum Harvest in Minimal Space — New and Improved for 2017!

  • Innovative, low-maintenance planter is the surefire way to grow terrific tomatoes
  • Includes self-watering Honeycomb Planter and integrated 33" high tomato support
  • Make it mobile! Add optional Casters, sold separately
  • Sized for 1 tomato plant; we recommend a compact determinate (bush) variety that grows up to the height of the support
  • For taller varieties, add our Tomato Planter Support Extension, sold separately, which provides an additional 15" of support
  • We recommend filling the planter with one 20-quart bag of our premium Organic Self-Watering Potting Mix and 1 lb. of our GSC Organic Tomato Fertilizer, sold separately

New! Last year several customers reported such a bounty of tomatoes that the plant's weight grew too heavy for the support. Our redesigned support is extra-sturdy for this year's tomato bonanza!

Nothing tastes better than tomatoes harvested fresh from the vine! Now you can look forward to a season's worth of bounty with our revolutionary planter. Advanced technology makes this small-space system a convenient and foolproof way to grow a super-productive tomato plant right on your deck or patio. Also great for peppers and eggplant. We recommend using the included tie-back anchor to secure the planter to a post or railing.

Success starts in the roots. The planter's Honeycomb Ventilation and lightweight Grow Bag liner air-prune roots, ensuring a vigorous root system that can take up more water and nutrients — the secret to healthy plants.

Dual-Hydrate Watering System. Self-watering planter supplies roots with consistent moisture and reduces watering chores. A new, larger port makes it easy to fill the reservoir.

Built-in support. We've reinforced the heavy-duty, integrated spine and Snap-Lock Rings to provide support wherever and whenever it's needed — and you can open, reattach and lock in the rings to gather up and support wayward branches. A new tie-back anchor offers even more stability.

Anxious to plant my tomato & see how the self watering works

Not that easy to install & the trellis seems loose without much support.

I bought this product for growing tomatoes during winter in my grow room. I tried a couple of different methods, terra-cotta, a different tomato planter, grow bags. So far this has worked like a charm. The plant is healthy and fruiting. Unlike the aforementioned, growing in these has been effortless. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of five is because I am not sure how well it will hold together. Other reviews said the trellis was flimsy, I think it is a bit sturdier than that, but I am concerned that that may be the 1st thing to break. Even if it did, I think I could use a different method to trellis the tomatoes.

Ability to grow tomatoes remains to be seen

Was not a joy to put together but expected that from previous reviews. I did persevere and am looking forward to a bumper crop. I like the size for 1 tomato or other veggies as I might see fit.

So far, not pleased

Assembly was rediculous as far as the support pieces went. It took two people, duck billed pliers and a lot of frustration. I am hoping the planter itself makes it all worthwhile.p

Tomato plants look sleek in this modern planter

5

I use this planter for heirloom Roma tomato plants on my patio. We have a pergola, so I have one bungee corded to each upright. I wanted something that would not distract from the look of the back yard. This little planter does the trick. I used pliers to clip on the support hoops.

Very difficult to assemble

If you aren't good with puzzles, you are likely to be VERY frustrated with this. I bought two and they would have gone back if I was not one who likes challenges. I do not recommend this product.
