Apply water just where you want it — and not where you don't. You can customize this convenient soaker hose system to suit your vegetable garden or any garden planted in rows. No special tools required — just use scissors to cut the hoses to the sizes you need. Snap the fittings in place and you're ready to water. The weeping action of soaker hoses delivers water right to the roots, with minimal loss due to evaporation and runoff. Soaker hoses use up to 80% less water than sprinklers! We recommend our Earth Staples, sold separately, to hold soaker hoses in place.

I live in Arizona so I am just setting up my fall garden.
Good product - great price
This is something that I have been looking for but the few that I have found were just too expensive.
Nifty but proceed with some caution

Overall I like this, but I think you need to always lay the sections of soaker hose STRAIGHT, as any bends, no matter how gentle, seem to eventually develop HOLES (i.e. Bigger than your drip pin holes) and have to be replaced. I am hoping I can just buy more soaker hose from ye olde box store...else I am coming back and taking away more stars!

Best way to water a vegetable garden ... plus a suggestion
from Lily Lake, Illinois
Does a very good job of irrigating the garden. I would have given it five stars, except for the fact that some soaker hose sections have a tendency to develop pinhole leaks after two or three years of use. Also, I found it very difficult to connect and disconnect the quick-connect coupling that goes to the garden hose. But the answer was to wipe a small amount of dielectric tune-up grease on both the male and female surfaces of the coupling. The parts now connect and disconnect very easily, and have not needed the grease to be re-applied all season. Small tubes of (non-petroleum based) dielectric tune-up grease are available in auto supply stores.
I have bought several sets.
I have several sets now for my 12 rows. They have performed superbly over the summer. I actually buried the soaker hoses beneath the rows as I first built them up. Time will tell if that has caused any deterioration to the hoses.
I would definitely buy this again

I've been using flat flexible soaker hoses for about 5 years now, and have had a love hate relationship with them ever since. Loved them because they were easy to lay them in any direction, and hated them because they'd last a year before springing a leak along the line besides the fact that the water never seemed to have the same amount of water flow all the way to the end. I bought the Garden Row Snip and Drip System and I'll never go back to the old hoses ever again. It was super easy to put together, it took about 20 minutes to lay 4 rows in my huge raised bed and the same amount of water flows from one end to the other. I live in Phoenix so I leave my hoses out all year long. It's September and coming into my favorite time of the year, relief from the horrible heat of summer to a great growing season and with my new soaker system my new crops are growing beautifully even though we're in the final (hopefully) days of over 100 degrees (Fahrenheit). I love this watering system!
Used in my garden. It was easy to set up and works great
