When the forecast calls for frost, you can quickly protect plants down to 24 degrees F with this handy tunnel. The sewn-in, galvanized steel hoops make it easy to install; simply position over a row of vulnerable plants and keep it in place until the chill subsides. The tunnel also creates a protected environment for hardening off seedlings, shielding them from cold and wind. Slide fabric up the hoop to tend and harvest. Hemmed edges, with drawstring closures at ends. Reusable; folds flat for easy storage.

2 shipments, one good and one bad
By Sky King
from Austin TX
I ordered 4 of the frost covers with hoops and loved them. Then ordered 3 more 3 weeks later and after one use the fabric on the second 3 items that I ordered shredded. I am still using the first order and no tears, meanwhile the fabric on the second order tears like a cheap paper towel. It's tough because I love this item, it's easy to set up, I created this season's beds to the size of the cover. Unfortunately I am hesitant to reorder when the item is back in stock due to the inconsistency of quality. So I give the first order 5 stars and the second zero stars.

Extends the growing season!!!
from Lee Center, NY
In the Northeast our season is short, I use this for lettuce, carrots, radish. When everyone is pulling up the garden I am still going strong!

Frost cover with hoops.
By Honey bunch of stinkweeds
from Port Orchard, Washington
These are cozy covers that allow early planting of delicate vegetables. I bought box store starters, knowing that they had not been properly "hardened off". However, under their nightly "light touch" blanket, the frost did not get them. I have left the cover on for several days and the white material allowed for enough light to penetrate that the plants continued to thrive. The warmth caused them to become vigorous growers. The system take only seconds to remove or to recover. I can do it in the dark!
Cold Protection for tender plants
from Kiowa, CO.
I bought 4 of these to protect my garden plants i had set out. They work perfectly and as intended. I would really like to see a product put out with metal window screeningmade the same way to protect the plants from Colorado Hail storms.
Frost cover with hoops does its job and
By R/M family
from Ellsworth Maine
We used the cover w/hoops as a cold frame in the early spring to harden off our vegetable seedlings. It protected them perfectly from the cold evening temperatures, strong winds and glaring sun.
all did the job

One of the five frost covers purchased has ripped. Must have been old material.

Great for keeping the bugs out!
from Marshall, NC
I am growing my broccoli under the row covers and I have no cabbage worms--or any other bugs-- for the first time without having to spray. The channels for the hoops are great--they allow for sliding the fabric up to weed or harvest, then easily slide back down. Because the channels attach the fabric to the wire hoops, the fabric doesn't blow away! I wish it came in a larger size because my broccoli is almost too big for it. If it came in a larger size I would use it to prevent flea beetle damage to my eggplant. The fabric allows air, water and light through.
