The three "eggs" nestled in this charming nest are Seedballz, which contain a mix of seeds to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. They're made from an all-natural blend of flower seeds, clay and humus, which provides a protected place for seeds to sprout and grow. When it's time to plant, just toss them on the soil and water them. Seedballz are handmade in the USA by a company that employs persons with disabilities. The 4" diameter nest is made from twigs, shredded paper and wood shavings and is boxed for gift-giving.

What to get a mother that is also 88 yrs. old and really doesn't need anything ordinary. This stood out among the other gifts and was well received.

We bought several of these (15 total) for a lovely Springtime gift for family & friends on Easter. Not sure when Easter became like Christmas, in small gift gestures like this, but we really love the idea of both encouraging gardening, as well as supporting the nice folks who make these for us to share. Thank you!

bought these as hostess gifts, not suitable for gifting, too cheap lookinghaven't seen the results of flowering yet, but will only use these myself due to the quality - I don't need more flowering plants, so it was a waste of money for me (I bought 3!)
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Once the ground thaws, my friend will toss them in her garden. She was mystified these were actually seeds and they will grow!
