Everybody loves fresh peas, but supporting them with poles, twine and netting can be a hassle. Our sturdy pea trellis is an easy solution. Each trellis has eight hinged panels with big 8" grids. Simply zig-zag the panels through your row of peas and push them into the ground (add a stake on each end in windy locations). Total length 9'-8" by 37" high installed. These trellises are reusable year after year, and fold for easy off-season storage. They also can be used to support tomatoes, cucumbers and other vining crops.

Comments about : Expandable Pea Trellis:
Make no mistake. Peas gonna climb. If they don't have something to climb on, peas gonna topple over into a messy tangle and flop all over the ground. (It isn't pretty, children.) All my older gardening books tell me to give them "brushy cuttings" to climb on, but my urban back garden doesn't produce a lot of "brushy cuttings." Gardener's Supply to the Rescue!

I would buy this product again.

Works well as trellis and expands to large size. Use stakes and clips to hold trellis in place.

Good support for peas and more

I ordered this primarily for next year's peas etc. It comes in 2 sections and connecting them to make one is disconcerting, because there really aren't any provided. Not only that, but in the attempt to do so, I felt like things were coming apart more than they were together. This is my reason for 4 stars instead of 5.
A great product
When I got this fence and set it up, I wondered if the first big wind would blow it over. It has stayed sturdy, however, and I can use it for two rows of peas, one on each side of the fence.

In the past I have bought these to support peas. Most recently I have bought them to use as temporary fencing to keep my rescue dog out of flower beds hoping he learns to use the paths to travel in my large cottage style garden. They are light weight but sturdy and can adapt to different configurations. I provide some additional support with metal fencing stakes. If I no longer need them for this purpose I can always use them in the vegetable garden for a variety of things besides peas or for climbing flowers such as sweet peas.
Placed out in garden for my peas. The peas are enjoying their climb.

Although some people have told me the cheaper way to go is make your own. Some folks don't have time, like myself. These trellis's are perfect! I bought ALOT! Train the plants to climb and away they go!
Yes and I will be buying it again as I need more of it. It
