Great design, good water pressure

Comments about Two English Rain Barrels with FREE Linking Kit:
These are very attractive barrels and work like a charm, even in Texas deluges. I have them set up about 2 inches off the ground on large stepping stones and water pressure is great! The only negative so far is algae or something is forming inside the barrels, turning water a brackish color. (The material on these barrels is thinner and light is visible through them during the current three hours of direct sunlight.) For comparison, I have other rain barrels in direct sun for 8 hours and their water is clear and pure. I guess these barrrels will be easy to clean with the lift off lids, but would prefer not to have to clean them - and I wonder how the material will hold up once they get 6 hours of sun this summer.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Perfect for water conservation !!!

About Me Getting Started
I have the bouble linked English barrels on my deck. It is very convenient to be able to water my plants without having to drag the hose to that area. Now I conserve my household water and use rainwater, which the plants prefer. Our area in central Texas has been in a drought for over 3 years now and these barrels are fabulous.

About Me Avid Gardener
I had been considering buying a rain barrel and when I got on your website and saw an online special for 2 rain barrels and a linking kit for only slightly more than a single barrel, I quickly ordered. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. We can't believe how much water comes off only a portion of our roof - the 2 barrels quickly fill up after a hard rain. Set up was easy and we like the fact that you can quickly fill watering cans by removing the lids and filling from the top.

Big enough to easily scoop out water with a big watering can, and water all my container plants. We attached a soaker hose to the lower outlet. My coleus garden slopes down from where the rain barrel sits, and there's enough water pressure to keep the hose trickling--just enough to keep the garden from drying out. What a plus, not to have to water that area at all!

For drought situations these are a must

I bought two of these along with the divertor kit and ordered them again because I was amazed how much water filled the two barrels with just a little rainfall. I am putting them under all my downspouts and expect to fill them all this coming winter.
works like a champ!

It was so easy to set up. After seeing how fast one barrel filled, I attached the second barrel within 10 minutes.
Saves a good amount of water

I picked this rain barrel set because I don't have a connection to a gutter where I need the extra water for bushes. With the open top design I have been able to catch water from my neigbor's leaky gutter, and it has worked great! I connected it to a soaker hose, and a full barrel takes about four hours to empty.

My husband and I are trying to conserve our natural resources and be good to our plants. For the first time this year, we planted a small raised bed garden and wanted to be able to water it efficiently. Our public water system is highly chlorinated and not good for plant life. We first purchased 1 set of these rainbarrels as a trial run. We were hooked. They were easy to set up and hold plenty of water. We ordered another set and linked all 4 together. We now have enough water for our garden and outdoor potted plants for over a week. Even a short rainshower will fill these barrels. We are very impressed!
