This beautiful elevated bed includes a matching cold frame top to protect plants from harsh weather, making it perfect for starting seeds, hardening off transplants, and growing greens and other cool-season crops. The 2' x 8' elevated bed is easy to plant, tend and harvest without kneeling or bending. There's a false floor made of cedar slats, set 10" down from the top so there's plenty of root space for vegetables and flowers. Excess water drains through slats; vents in the sides allow air to circulate and excess moisture to evaporate. The cold frame top is made with polycarbonate panels that diffuse light so plants don't "cook," and there are adjustable braces to hold panels at various intervals for ventilation.

Mom loves it!

Comments about : Grow House® Greenhouse:
I purchased this for my mother and myself - as Mom is getting older, I really didn't want her to have to bend over too much or too far - this is a wonderful raised bed for starting plants.

Suggest a (weld or captive) nut and bolt arrangement to secure inner angle extrusions. Other than that it'sa good product.

All around poor quality
This product is the worst and I would strongly recommend against it. It's more worthwhile to pay a carpenter to build you a similar product with quality materials than to purchase this crud.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have six of these
from Spokane WA
I have six--what can I say? If edges of metal rails ars slightly bent it is easy to straighten them. I put these together by myself, but it would probably be better to have a helper.I use row cover on my three without the cold frame--that works well too.If youget the cold frames be sure to put them someplace where you have room to flip the covers down flush with the back.

I ordered the first of April, so in Colorado we still had a month of very cold nights. I have been able to start petunias, sunflowers, zinnias and herbs in the unit. On the very cold nights I secure a blanket and sheet over the top to hold in the day heat. I will use it to start fall crops. I also plan on wintering cold crops as well, it will get a homemade quilt with plastic windows.I did have a few glitches with the products advertising and not getting what was shown. The hinges that are shown to hold the windows in place are not available. After many conversations with the more than friendly costumer service department we were able to work it out with 100 percent satisfaction. They really do provide you with a solution to make you want to do business again. I have used this company for 10 years.
